This extremely successful study of a Guarneri was crafted around 1920 by a Mittenwald violin maker, and it is a strikingly beautiful and aesthetic instrument with excellent acoustic properties. Its creator captured the characteristic features of a Guarneri model very well, especially the lean lines of its shape and the typical high sound holes, which are very cleanly carved – unlike many historic Guarneris. The harmonious large scroll, the perfectly applied purfling and the luminous orange-red varnish over a yellow-golden background are also of excellent quality. We offer this remarkable violin in perfect condition, worked over by our specialists and ready to play, with only a few traces of use. Its bright and warm sound is powerful, clear and precise, full of strong volume and an unmistakable character.
